Hi! I'm Ashley. I'm an heirloom wedding and boudoir photographer, and love what I do because of the places I've been and the people I have met (and photographed) along the way.

As a biology student, I came into photography by happy accident through my travels and study abroad adventures. I was on a trip in the Amazon studying rainforest ecology, but I just couldn't turn my focus away from the people I met. I used photography to explore everything I was experiencing, and I came back from that trip realizing I needed to be photographing and creating. So I changed my major to photography, and there's been no turning back since. I still wholeheartedly love learning about a person through photography.

HOME

in a Grace Kelly, linen-bound journal, wrapped in silk ribbon, always gracious kind of way. I believe a classic will never be forgotten, and that timeless beauty is indelible. I believe kindness is the best act we can show one another. I believe an heirloom is a tiny piece of a long story...where you came from, where you are, and where you aim to go...and this story renews itself each time it is passed on. I believe in seeing the very best in the world, and more-so in the people who surround us.  I believe that the silent, in-between moments, subtle glances, and genuine vulnerability  are telling, beautiful, and worthwhile. I believe we all have a story, and that your story matters.

I believe in elegance...

An elegant glimpse into history, reminding us of the days they were built and the land they defined.

Fieldstone Walls

Joyful, loyal, and absolutely stubborn to the core. How could this not win anyone over? When you visit the studio (in the colonial era barn attached to our home) you may see our beagle, Boeing, snoozing on the porch.

Nothing makes me happier than spending time with my sweet little girl. She is highly imaginative, and an expert herb identifier. Whether we are getting our hands dirty in the garden, traveling together, or reading book after book (after book, after book), we are bound to be learning something new together at every turn.

Family

In addition to being a photographer, I'm a novice plant lady. I love getting my hands dirty in the garden and growing things. If I weren't a photographer, I would probably be working with plants in some way.  I love teaching my daughter what I've learned and she is exceptionally good at identifying different plants. She studies their smell, their leaf pattern, and their flowers, and doesn't hesitate to taste them (when I tell her it's safe).
